I have always envied my friends that have straight and healthy hair. They can go into any store and buy a bottle of shampoo for a few dollars and their hair always looks wonderful. I am not so lucky. I have naturally curly hair , and that means it needs more care. Curls are not as strong as straight locks, and that means they must be treated carefully. It took me a long time to find the right stuff for my hair, and when I found it, the price was shocking. Luckily, I know how to find discount hair care products so I don’t have to spent a fortune.
For my hair, I must have the hair care you buy in the salon. Even then, there are only a few brands that I have found that keep my hair healthier and looking good. Nothing can fix damage other than a trim, but these few products have kept my hair from breaking much longer than other types. It looks and feels better. Others who like these try to get discount hair care by getting the generic or copy versions of these expensive types of shampoo and conditioner.
You may find that this is what you can use for your discount hair care , as many of the ingredients are the same. However, the quality will not be quite as good. If it works for you though, and your hair feels better than ever after using those products for a month, you have found a way to save while still protecting your hair. For me though, these never worked. I tried the discount hair care that mimics the more expensive brands, and it wasn’t doing much for my hair.
If you find that you are like me, don’t worry, you can still get discount hair care while getting the very same stuff that you need for your hair. You have to be patient, and you have to be willing to stock up when you do this, but it has always worked for me. Many of the salons that sell your favorite hair care have specials. You can usually find a brand on sale for half price, or buy one get one free. You should buy what you can then, and by the time you need more, another sale will come around and you will get more. When you do this, you will have the quality you want at discount hair care prices.

Everyone seems to have their own style and standards when it comes to personal hygiene. There are the parameters that are established by the culture that one grows up with and lives in, but individuals add and subtract from these standards. I am an advocate for person choice and expression, but people do need to be aware how there choices affect those around them.
One thing that many of us seem to forget or not realize is that as we age our facial hair grows longer. Unfortunately our eye sight becomes weaker so we may not always be aware of these hairs. To me one of the more repulsive things is people with long nose hairs. The hairs tend to catch nasal drip and the result is quite unpleasant to look at. A nose hair clipper is easy and safe to use. Unfortunately by time long nose hairs become an issue people are already set in their hygiene routine. For some reason we find it embarrassing to point out to someone if they have disturbing facial hair. I have noticed that during the holiday season there are more nose hair clippers as well as other personal hygiene items on display in gift sets. There are also more advertisements on television at holiday time showing new and convenient hygiene devices.
In a way I find this quite amusing. We are not going to say to Uncle Fred that his long nose hairs are disturbing, but we are going to wrap up a nose hair clipper and give it to him as a gift. I have a friend that is a person care attendant in a facility for the aging. She has a very easy going manner and most of the elderly people she works with look forward to her pleasant smile and personality. She is very matter of fact with the elderly about getting rid of unwanted hairs. She has a tweezers, nose hair clipper and neck hair trimmer in her supply bag at all times. She will tell the women if they have facial hair and she will help them pluck them out. She will show the men how to use the nose hair trimmer and if they are too poor sighted or unsteady with their hands she will do it for them. She laughs that her goal is to rid the world of unwanted facial hair one person at a time. She said that most of the residents that she works with are grateful to her for pointing this out to them. She said for most of them once she has mentioned something they will ask her if the hairs are back. She believes that the problem is not that the elderly no longer care what they look like, it is that they cannot see good enough to notice.

Do you ever find yourself judging current products that are on the market based on experiences that you had with them in the past? I know for myself if I have had a bad experience with a product I most likely will not try it again even if friends tell me that it has been improved. This can be a bad thing however I do not like to waste money on a product that I think will not perform well.
My daughter convinced me to take a risk with a product that I had sworn I would never use again. When I was in high school there was a very popular television commercial for a hair removal cream. I loved the commercial and decided that I would try the product. My mother did not think that a hair removal cream was a good idea so she would not buy it for me. When I was a child I was given a generous allowance for cleaning the house and starting supper in the evenings when I returned home from school. The allowance was to be used for school events, movies and other activities that I wanted to go on. I could also buy things with it; however my parents paid for most of my clothing and hygiene products. I used my allowance money to by the hair removal cream. It was summer time and I was going to a pool party at a neighbor’s house so I wanted nice smooth legs. My mother knew I had bought the cream. Her only comment was to make sure that I followed the directions. I was in a hurry so I only glanced at the part of the directions that said how long to keep the product on. The product had a very strong chemical odor. I put it on my legs and then looked around for my swimsuit and did some other things. I left the product on longer than I was supposed to, but I did not think this was any big deal. I wiped it off quickly and went to the neighbor’s house. My friends were lying in the sun so I sat in the sun by them and we started talking. I sat in the sun for over a half hour when one of my friends asked me what was wrong with my legs. They were covered in rash. I went home and took a shower, but the rash lasted for three days. It was painful and because of being self conscious about the rash I wore long pants during very hot weather so a beach party. My mother looked on the bottle of the hair removal product and it said not to go out into the sun for three hours after applying it. It also said to wash it off with plenty of soap and water. I did not.
That was the only time I used the product. My daughter was telling me about using a similar product and how great her legs felt and that she did not have to shave for two weeks. I tried the product again and found that it did work very well.

Our society is becoming more and more obsessed with how we look. It is becoming common place for people to have surgical procedures to alter some portion of their body or face that they are not happy with. People are in constant search for products to make them look and feel younger. Over time we are going to start looking like carbon copies of each other. I am a believer that the aging process is inevitable and a part of our life that we should embrace rather than fight.
My family has been blessed with the genes that keep us looking younger than our years. My mother and sister and I are often thought to be younger than what we are. I contribute this more to our nutritional upbringing than to anything else. We grew up on a farm. We did not have a great deal of money so most of the food we consumed was what was raised in the garden as well as meat that was raised in the barn. Our beauty products were mainly made by our mother from recipes that were given to her by her grandmother. We had natural hair care and facial products long before the current craze.
When we were growing up the big hair look was in. To achieve the fullness that was popular a great deal of styling gel and hair spray was required. We never had to buy any of these products because my mother made them. Creating natural hair care products was part of our chores. My mother had wonderful perennial gardens. The plants however were not just for beauty; she used them to make skin lotions as well as natural hair care products . Flax was the main plant that was used for the hair. Flax have a small blue flower that turns to seed once it has completed blooming. These seeds are then boiled to create a gel that sets the hair. If the gel is watered down and places in a spray bottle it is the same as a firm hold hair spray. My mother would also make shampoo by adding different plants and herbs to homemade soap.
As we got older and money became more plentiful my mother still made her hygiene products because we all liked them better than the harsh chemicals that are in some of the products that you buy in the stores. Today there are many products that are available for natural hair care as well as skin care. When I look at the list of ingredients they are very similar to those that my mother used. She could have been a millionaire if she had marketed her products years ago.

The woman with a true peaches-and-cream complexion can choose any hair color, including black. However, you may want to give your wardrobe a lookover. Some of your favorite clothes may not show to advantage with a different hair color .
Dark-skinned women, such as African Americans, can add subtle sophistication with hair color choices in the dark-reddish, mahogany tones. Such colors enhance the natural beauty of your skin tone. Violet and rust are excellent clothing colors for you.
If your complexion is sallow, you may choose a hair color like strawberry-blond or one of the lighter reds to brighten up your skin tone. Your wardrobe color choices will likely expand if you go from a medium brown to strawberry blond hair color. If you couldn’t wear pastels or olive green before, those colors may become new and complimentary favorites in your closet.
If you just not ready for a complete change of hair color, highlights and streaking are another attractive option. Go to the salon and ask to look at their books of sample highlighting and streaking effects. Find your natural hair color teamed with streaks in various tones and pick!
When you’ve made your decision, go to a salon for the best results. They are pros and do this every day. Besides, it’s fun to have your hair done. No mess or stress and you get it done right the first time. To a more beautiful you!

When it comes to hairstyles you can’t miss to mention Jennifer Lopez . While this site is about braiding , lets start off with a pic of a beautiful J Lopez braid. Unlike men, women have a penchant for changing hair color almost as readily as a man might buy a new shirt. Women, by nature, find fashion, ornamentation and looking good to be irresistible. Women are lucky to have so many choices to ponder and indulge. Poor men! When a woman is seriously looking for a new look, hair color is sure to be on her short list. Choosing a hair color is not for the faint of heart. If your choice doesn’t work out, the results can be disastrous and more than a little difficult to fix. Let’s look at some important considerations you’ll want to keep in mind when you set out to choose a hair color.
Unless you’re a teen on a lark, looking for an outrageous statement hair color effect, you need to give some thought to choose a hair color that is compatible with your skin tones. A woman with olive skin tones won’t usually be able to pull off a platinum blonde look. The unnatural look causes the appearance of both skin and hair color to suffer. You’ll also have trouble with your wardrobe as a result. Clothing colors which are flattering to your natural hair color and skin may look garish, or wash out your lovely complexion. For the most stunning effect, choose a hair color in the brunette shades. Hair colors that tend towards the dark-reddish are beautiful on a woman with olive skin tones.
